The 118th Illinois State “3-Move” Checker Tournament

Here is the announcement for the 2024 Illinois State Tournament.
New location. Large prize fund this year.
The 118th Illinois State Checker Tournament will be held April 20 and 21, 2024
in Marion, IL.
Prize fund currently at $700.
New Venue: Quality Inn & Suites, 2600 W. Main St., Marion, IL.
Take exit 53
going west off of I-57, take first right. Behind Cracker Barrel. Off of a
different exit than prior years.
Recommended hotel: Quality Inn & Suites at 2600 W. Main St., Marion, IL. Phone
618-364-3707 press 2. Ask for group rate of $79 for the Illinois State Checker
Association. Make room arrangements at least two weeks in advance to make sure
you get that rate.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. with play beginning at 9:00 a.m. Seven total
rounds to be played. Three move restriction paired by a modified Swiss system.
Entry fee is $10.00
